Using Ceramic Flat Iron With Different Widths

Whether it is cordless or corded, ceramic plates are an imperative feature of any flat iron. A ceramic flat iron can be purchased in different widths. One inch (2.54 cm) is the standard size, however larger or smaller ones are available. Smaller straighteners are efficient on thinner, shorter hair, as they can get closer to the roots, for example, to straighten bangs. Larger straighteners work best for long, thick hair for the reason that they trim down the time required to straighten.
When straightening hair using a ceramic flat iron, most experts recommend thorough washing, conditioning, and then drying hair first. Styling cream or gel can then be applied. It is a good idea to apply a heat-protective spray before straightening to prevent damage to the hair. The hair should then be straightened in small sections to make sure the best results. Finish up with a glossing cream or finishing spray to help hair remain straight all day. Hair straighteners can also be used to curl pieces of hair, but a curling iron is to be expected a better bet.
