Blow Dryer Protection

A blow dryer utilizes a flash drying system removing moisture on the surface and the moisture that is bound to the hair follicle. Over time hair cuticles end up dry, brittle, and start to crack. The damage is double when you combine combing your hair with a blow dryer. The initial step in creating a healthy, gorgeous hair is the knowledge of how best to use this tool.
Protect your hair from blow drying by using a glycerin-based hair treatment just before blow drying. Consider using a multipurpose protector, which is suitable for blow dryer use. Spray the treatment on your hair and comb it gently through each time you blow dry. The glycerin binds to your hair follicles, allowing them to dry, but not lose moisture when using hot tools.
Although it's always best to apply a good heat-protecting spray before you use any hot styling tools, certain blow dryers tend to be better for healthier hair than others. For best results and to keep damage to your hair to a minimum, blow dryers should be just one part of a total hair care program.
