Choosing A Flat Iron For Straight Shiny Hair

There are so many straighteners to choose from. With the right tools and tips, flat ironing your hair can be easy.
Go for a wide flat iron of two inches or more if you have a lot of hair. If you have short or thin hair, you could manage it with a narrow flat iron as little as 1/2 inch.
Always look for a model with length to the iron as it makes the process much easier. Square style heat plates get little hair coverage. They have a tendency to let hair slip out. For the best results, search for those that span the entire length of the iron clamps.
A good design is essential. A flat iron should have smooth, rounded edges. Sharp plastic corners will catch on your hair. It is one of the biggest risks for damaging your hair while straightening besides the heat.
If you are still not sure what option is right for you, consider asking your hair stylist what straightening irons she or he recommends.
