About Hair Straightener Warranties

The majority hair straighteners come with a one year manufacturer’s warranty. Lots of brands cancel the warranty if the product is purchased online or from an unauthorized dealer. If you are shopping around online keep this in mind. Confirm if you buy your flat iron online, its warranty is still valid. You may have to check with the manufacturer. In most cases, a cheap flat iron will not carry a very long manufacturer's warranty.

When you buy a hair straightener, ensure if you need to register it for warranty validation, to do so within the time stipulated. Nearly all manufacturers’ warranties specify that you must pay fees so as to fulfill the flat iron warranty. For instance, a hair straightener may still be covered by warranty, but in order to get it repaired or replaced, you need to front the shipping fees both ways, and pay an up to $60 fulfillment fee. Be sure to check these policies before deciding on the best hair straightener for your budget and needs.
